Michael J. Carrozzo
Michael J. Carrozzo is a senior attorney with over 30 years' experience in the legal field. He earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the Loyola Law School in 1992. Mr. Carrozzo earned his bachelor's degree (B.A.) from UCLA in 1989.
Mr. Carrozzo is licensed to practice law in all the state courts of California, he is also admitted to practice in the federal courts of the Central Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Carrozzo started practicing civil law in 1992 and developed a reputation as a skilled litigator.
In response to the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, Mr. Carrozzo joined the United States Army as a JAG officer. Captain Carrozzo served with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment stationed at Fort Irwin. After attaining the rank of Major and being honorably discharged, Mr. Carrozzo joined the Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office. Mr. Carrozzo also served as a federal litigator with the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Principal Legal Advisor and was appointed a Special Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. Carrozzo was later appointed to the Santa Barbara Superior Court by Governor Jerry Brown, serving for 11 years before joining Kolmogorov Law.
Mr. Carrozzo has expertise in business litigation, breach of contract, defamation, premises liability, personal injury, immigration, and criminal law. Mr. Carrozzo has argued numerous cases before the California Courts of Appeal, the 9th Circuit Court Appeals and the California Supreme Court, many of which are published and cited as legal precedence.
